I started learning about networking and about gaining people that could support and back you as you moved through the job markets and industries that you work in from a fairly young age because of my father. I got to see first hand as he got jobs and offers from companies who wanted to take advantage of his skills from friends, and friends of friends. His reputation outstripping his ability to keep up with that many job offers to be quite honest.
To this day as I work on learning new skills, and I grow in my own personal experience I continue to do the same. It can be a bit overwhelming for some, this idea of meeting people and expanding your network of people to grow out your support network, and growing a group of people that will potentially allow you to get jobs directly through them just simply because you have to interact with a large number of people, and you have to ensure that you maintain a positive relationship with them until you need their help in achieving a goal.

As I have progressed in my journey to get through Lambda School and become a skilled software engineer I have gained a ton of people who have been supportive, and some I would even dare call a friend. The intensive nature that is coding boot camps really does breed like-minded people coming together to achieve the goal… Getting through. And let's be…
